Aussie Aths ‘Highly Commended’ in national awards

Aussie Aths was awarded “Highly Commended” in two categories in the prestigious What’s On 4 Kids 2021 Awards, sponsored by The Australian Children’s Activities Association (ACAA).

This awards program is one of a kind in Australia and celebrates the best in children’s activities, classes, family events and party entertainers across Australia.

Aussie Aths is a health and fitness program for Aussie kids aged 5 – 13 years based on athletics. It’s about learning to go faster, higher, further in a fun environment that Aussie kids of all abilities enjoy.

The program launched in Melbourne in mid-2018 and has grown rapidly since then, expanding to the Mornington Peninsula and Gold Coast via franchisees.

Aussie Aths was runner-up, or “Highly Commended” as judged by an independent panel in both categories in which it was nominated for the national awards –

  • Aussie Aths received “Highly Commended” in the category “Best New Kids Activity/Party Business (up to 3 years in business)”; and
  • Aussie Aths Boroondara was awarded “Highly Commended” in the category “Best Local Franchisee School Aged Activity/Class (5-12 years)”.

Aussie Aths CEO Samantha Culbert said it was terrific to celebrate the kid’s activities industry alongside such a broad array of industry leaders.

“The What’s on 4 Kids Awards is a great celebration of an industry that has been hit hard by covid, especially in Victoria. It is terrific to celebrate alongside so many small business owners and operators who have shown tremendous resilience throughout these challenging times, and continue to work hard to ensure a strong and vibrant children’s activities industry.”

“A big thank you to the parents who entrust our Aussie Aths coaches to teach their children the fundamentals and ensure they have a positive experience with athletics, which in turn helps shape their attitudes toward sport and physical activity,” Samantha continued.

The Awards were announced at a virtual zoom event on Saturday 12 June, 2021.
